Artist's Message: Here, Sho-Kannon is drawn together with Nikko-Bosatsu and Gakko-Bosatsu (they are usually depicted as assisting Yakushi-Nyorai), each radiating light that altogether constitute the three beams of light. Kannon transforms into different forms and is like the light that provides salvation and guidance; out of the different forms Kannon takes, Sho-Kannon is considered the most basic form, while Nikko-Bosatsu and Gakko-Bosatsu respectively represent the sun and moon that watch us from afar during day and night. Likewise, I hope this piece brings you a warm feeling to your heart, as well as provide you guidance and feeling of protection.
