Artists's Message: While her presence may be unknown to us in times of natural disaster, pain, suffering, and chaos, it may very well be that Kannon herself extends to us a hand of salvation in our times of need. That is the thought I wished to capture in this painting. The question of what has captured Kannon's gaze, indicated by her outstretched thousand arms, differs depending on the viewer's perspective. My wish is that, through this artwork, Kannon may act as a lens through which you face your inner self.
