When venerating Fudo Myoo, often there is a depiction where the attendants, Kongara Dōji and Seitaka Dōji, stand by his side. This composition is said to express the dual aspects of Fudo Myoo's "compassion" and "wrath." Kongara Dōji embodies "compassion," while Seitaka Dōji represents "wrath." Kongara Dōji and Seitaka Dōji serve to assist with tasks and responsibilities around Fudo Myoo, and the arrangement of the two attendants on the left and right side of Buddhist sculptures and paintings is referred to as the "Fudo Sanzon."
