The work is produced through a multi-step process—molding, casting, finishing, and coloring—carried out by specialist craftsmen. The model lineage traces to Koun Takamura, who trained in Buddhist image-making and later helped carry Edo-period carving and sculptural techniques into the modern era while incorporating a more realistic approach influenced by Western art; this reproduction exists to preserve and present his sculptural form in durable cast bronze, with authorization reflected in the signed base and sealed paulownia box.
