The Eight Natal Buddha are the eight main Buddhas who are assigned to each zodiac sign based on your birth year. They are also known as "ichidai mamori honzon (lifetime guardian Bodhisattvas)" and will literally watch over you throughout your life. The "Natal Buddha Amulet" is an amulet that has been blessed with a prayer from the ancient Juryoin temple in Shinshu. With its powerful protection, it will strengthen the bond between you and the Buddhas.
The material is "mayumi," a deciduous shrub of the sapindaceae family, which is similar to sandalwood. We have put a lot of effort into the three-dimensional carving that transcends its small size and applied a dignified gold coating. We will deliver it after receiving a prayer from the ancient temple Juryoin temple in Shinshu, praying for the protection and peace of mind of all who carry it and the fulfillment of their wishes.
"Jogakuzan Juryoin" is one of the sub-temples of Zenkoji Temple in Shinshu. The main object of worship is the Nitchigatsu Fudoson (Sun and Moon Fudō statue), which represents the eyes of Fudo Myo-o as the sun and moon. Throughout history, it has been a dojo (training hall) dedicated to rigorous practices such as the opening ceremony for new statues. It has gathered people's faith and during the Sengoku period, it is said to have established an earthen mound to mourn the dead from the battles of Kawanakajima and held grand ceremonies. Even now, every year, a memorial service is held in front of the Kawanakajima Battle Memorial Tower by successive chief priests. (*The backing paper also serves as a "Certificate of Prayer." Please keep it safe.)
