This statue is a replica of the original statue in Japan's Nagano prefecture, designated as the prefecture treasure. Believed to be made under the influence of the Buddhist sculptor Unkei's style, it is a masterpiece from the Kamakura period. With great compassion and wrath, Fudo Myo-o saves those who do not conform to the teachings of Buddhism. Its extreme wrath guides them into the right direction and is also a manifestation of its firm determination to save "All the Living"
