The 'Real Buddha Statue' is a wooden carved Buddha statue faithfully reproducing the artistic beauty of historically and artistically valuable Buddha statues designated as national treasures or important cultural properties. It is crafted in a size suitable for home decoration.
The Real Buddha Statue, a wooden sculpture of the Den Nyoirin Kannon, achieves high quality at an affordable price through a production process that involves high-precision 3D scanning of the prototype we created. Skilled woodcarvers then use the acquired 3D data to carve the statue in a workshop known for its high craftsmanship. Each statue is meticulously hand-painted at the 'Isumu' studio to bring it to completion.

The combination of 3D data and precision carving techniques with a cutting machine results in a high-quality product that is accessible in terms of price, bringing Japan's traditional art world even closer.

The coloring supervision was entrusted to the highly popular and skilled colorist, Ms. Chihiro Takamura, who inherits reliable techniques and traditions.

The distinctive garments adorning the figure are designed to evoke a perpetual elegance with a flowing golden glow through the art of coloring. We hope that as you trace each muscle and line, you will deepen your appreciation for the artistry.

The model for this creation is the national treasure 'Wooden Bodhisattva Half-Kneeling Statue (Den Nyoirin Kannon),' produced in the early Heian period and housed at the Ganto-ji Temple in Kyoto's Hoobodaiin. It features a realistic depiction with an exotic expression reminiscent of Tang Dynasty sculptures from China, intricately intertwining draped textiles and celestial garments. Seated with a dignified posture on a pedestal supported by intricately carved Four Heavenly Kings, it is a masterpiece representing the finest craftsmanship of a single wooden construction in Japan.
