Created as an expression of offering and prayer, in ever simpler form, without deviating from the traditions of crafting Buddhist statues and figures. Recommended as a Buddhist figure which can fit seamlessly within a modern lifestyle.
Words from the busshi (Buddhist sculptor): In contrast with conventional Amitabha figures, I carved this one to be without much overall ornamentation. I wanted the comforting and merciful energies which emanate from the Amitabha to naturally envelop around the worshippers who bring their hands together in prayer, so that they may live their lives in peaceful harmony, having discovered their intrinsic, essential soul. Such is the hope I dedicated into the creation of this figure.
